Marc Blake began developing B&W film at the age of thirteen. He was amazed that one could really do this themself. Captured (on film) with this amazement, photography immediately became a new media to add to his creative exploitations. Naturally, he became the high school’s ace photographer and developed a close friendship with the photography instructor. He traveled throughout Europe at the age of 15 creating thousands of images on that celluloid canvas called film while studying art history.
Like so many, computers happened [to him] years later and his two or three decades of darkroom techniques printing B&W, as well as color gallery-quality photographic prints made his transition into digital work gentle and nearly seamless.
Marc keeps (too) busy with his prolific and never ceasing desire to expand his creative skill-sets. He has developed expertise in the areas of photography, scriptwriting, videography, creative and technical writing, music and the development of educational curriculum. Marc has produced numerous works and engaged in many life-rewarding experiences.
“Watching my students walk up to receive their “Honorary Ph.D.” certificates after one of my digital courses is amazing. One look into their eyes and, in their mind, they really are graduating. It’s very cool. These young students love the creative experiences I bring to them in my courseware and seeing them become engaged in my classes makes those occassional grueling moments totally worth while.”
Currently, Marc spends much of his time producing training videos for some of the nations leading manufacturers, photographers and trainers of graphics, photography, digital software, i.e., Photoshop and it’s extended family of plug-ins along with other creative projects in the areas of music, entertainment and education.
